GRAFIT
Our cave zooming in or out
Iris Grafit is a pneumatic artist.
Inspired by the iron-rich minerals of New Mexico’s _____ Triassic, along with the blue sky, and the lichen
Fades increasingly to white as viewer scrolls down, by this point it’s a mid tone neutral red grey. The writing makes the connection with the aritsts’ lifestyle and her work. Microscopic and grand. Big and small.
above you have a video showing the art either being made, or close ups of it being made, or installation, or all three.

art speak about how the landscape births this artist
a palette so limited to red and blue that it almost feels like black and white
artist walking through this landscape
Coyote at the “moonscape”. The landscape exploration being a metaphor for exploring the art work .
if you did a black background it could be to create a nightime moonscape. The darkness of this site is kind of neat. but white seems to be the industry standard. Grafit artist is ABOUT the desert she lives in , because the art itself can’t really be “about” much more. YOU-and your coolness, is what you’re selling. Gerogia okeefe wasn’t selling anything except new mexioc.
art speak about land and place, Grafit uses the palette of the desert. maybe touch on the canon, maybe touch on Ghost ranch. Photographs of petroglyphs and dinosaur bones. The idea here is to use high end photographic language to establish the artist’s coolness. These photoshoots and the feeling of this wonderful webiste should translate perfectly to a book, which you of course use each time you apply to a fancy gallery.
